found capable of sounding 

the depths of that 'so'--

"GOD SO loved."

love, HE points us to Calvary. 

Standing at the foot of that cruel tree 

and gazing at that glorious SUFFERER--

you learn the deep love of GOD as 

it can be learned in no other spot!

Mercy came down from Heaven--

and picked up a poor vile sinner 

lying at the gate of Hell!

"Herein is love, not that we loved GOD--

but that HE loved us, and sent HIS SON 

to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins."
