Ebenezer!

"Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between 
Mizpah and Shen. He named it 'Ebenezer' saying: 
Thus far has the LORD helped us!" 1 Samuel 7:12

What a retrospect will that be 

at the end of life's journey! 

The rough paths, the jagged 

precipices, the valleys of humiliation--

all will be seen to have been bathed 

in the luminous light of GOD'S love. 

There will be nothing more but to erect 

earth's farewell monument, and to carve 

upon it, "Ebenezer!"

"And we know that GOD causes all things 
to work together for good to those who 
love GOD, to those who are called 
according to His purpose!" Romans 8:28
