"The leaves of the tree are
for the healing of the nations."
Revelation 22:2

We will not endeavor to explain this

verse, but rather confine ourselves

to meditation on a topic so delightful

as the healing of our souls from 

the dreadful disease of sin.

If we are Christians, we know that

our present state is one of spiritual

sickness; and that none but JESUS

can be our Great PHYSICIAN.

We have need continually to utter

the cry, "Heal my soul, for I have 

sinned against YOU!" Daily and

hourly have we need to go with 

our soul sicknesses and infirmities

to our heavenly PHYSICIAN, 

and entreat HIM to heal us, 

and strengthen us.

Naturally there is no spiritual health

in us; and it is, indeed, a source

of exquisite joy when we feel that

JESUS has, by HIS all-powerful

SPIRIT, undertaken the cure

of our souls.

And exquisite also is the joyous

prospect of entire renovation and

spiritual health in Heaven, when

we shall eat of the tree of life,

and be completely healed!

Oh, the more we know 

of our spiritual weaknesses, 

infirmities, and sins--

the greater will be our joy 

at the prospect of eternal 

deliverance from them!

Blessed SAVIOR! Undertake and 

carry on the work of restoration, until 

it is perfected in YOUR  paradise above! 

In the case of our souls, we are sure 

that the blood of JESUS CHRIST 

can cleanse us, and the power of 

JESUS can heal us. Ours cannot 

be a desperate case, for our 

PHYSICIAN is Almighty!
